Recent "Special" Community Events

1/ Highway 55 Cleanup (Virgil to Old Town) by Kinsmen members was completed on  June 24th and October 21, 2023.   

2/ Annual Kinsmen CAR SHOW ("SHOW & SHINE"), our main community fundraiser and partnering with PARKS CANADA, was completed on August 13th '23. This event is always scheduled for the 2nd Sunday of August.  Click on subsequent pages for more detail.

 3/ NOTL Sports Wall of Fame.  The 2023 induction ceremony was held at the Meridian Credit Union Arena in August, with Kinsmen Committee Members participating (note additional page in this section).

4/ Christmas Parade.   Kinsmen once again participated with a float during the NOTL Christmas Parade in Old Town.  The parade was held on Saturday, December 9th, 2023.

5/ Kinsmen 'Easter Egg Hunt', NOTL Community Centre,  was held on Saturday, April 8th, 2023.  An estimated 700 to 800 young participants attended.   The special 'golden egg' was found by lucky participants from each of the three age groups (under 3, 4 to 6, and 7 to 10).  Hosting the event is partnered with the NOTL Nursery School.
