More on our Recently Completed and Upcoming Events ('24/'25)

1/ The 2024 NOTL Santa Clause Parade was completed on Saturday, December 14th, with Kinsmen members once again participating with a 'vintage car' themed float.

2/ The very popular Kinsmen Easter Egg Hunt was held on Saturday, April 19th, 2025 at 10:00 AM, under generally favourable (mostly dry, but windy) weather conditions and excellent attendance by both volunteers and our young participants.

3/ The first of two annual Hwy 55 roadside cleanup events (Virgil to Old Town) was completed on June 14th, 2025.  

4/ The 2025 Show & Shine Car Show was successfully completed on Sunday, August 10th.  Under very hot and sunny conditions, we saw 381 show cars registered prior to noon, down slightly from 2024's 420 cars due to the very hot conditions.  

Show-car vehicle entry fees remained at $10, with walk-in spectators set at $5 for those 12 and over - 11 and younger free (same as '23 & '24).  Onsite Parks Canada parking was again made available for spectators, and priced at $10 for full-day parking.   Activities included food & beer/wine tent, Car Show T-shirts, a Mayor's Choice Award, and free draws for local NOTL fresh peaches & cash prizes for all registered show cars. 

With this being our major annual fundraiser, profits generated will be going to support our upcoming year's National and local projects (most notably, Cystic Fibrosis Canada -  https://www.cysticfibrosis.ca ).  We especially thank our over 70 volunteers, both Kinsmen & Kinsmen's family & friends, who donated their time before, during and after the event.  

Please note that next year's event, our 26th, is scheduled for Sunday, August 9th, 2026 (always planned for the 2nd Sunday of August).  There is no pre-registration for show cars, as we have ample space for all that show up (i.e. space for 500+, with typically 350 to 450 in attendance).
